The heat in Hyde Desert, as it became over the summer, proved too much for some. Either that or these men were part of some kind of ant appreciation society.





Evissa, Ibiza.


This is Es Vedra, off the south west coast of Ibiza. We looked out over it from where we were staying. Supposedly a herd of hardy mountain goats keep vigil out there. Of an evening we would try to spot them with binoculars, and joke that they had been spending hundreds of years building a escape raft; dreaming of opposable thumbs.

The City Fathers bring the long awaited dream of a fork-only society into being through wheelie bins parked outside police stations.

Interestingly, the wheelie bin was just that, wheelie, and it did occur to me that perhaps an unscrupulous soul could wheel it away, thereby gaining many knives.

An early campaign "Bin that Gun, Eat a Bun" apparently did not gain currency.















The first bullet point on this billboard for a new development in Southwark says a lot about London property prices.
















We came around the corner a couple of weeks back around the Tower Bridge area only to find a full Bollywood cast performing one of those famous climactic last scenes where everybody participates in a big song and dance routine, even the characters who have been killed off. The locals were sniffy because the momentary street closure meant that they couldn't get their porsches through. Apparently there was a lack of consultation.
