Cockney Rabbit

These from a booking of Cockney Rhyming Slang I was given recently:

Abraham- Sham : Pronounced Abram, this applies to getting out of something by feigning illness.
Apricot and Peach- Beach: On holiday you might say "We go down to the apricot, get some currant and look at the lemons (currant bun - sun; lemon curds- birds).
Cotton Wool- Pull: The hunt for sexual quarry is also known as going on the "cotton".

Further - in an attempt to translate french criminal slang in the novel Querelle, the following appears: 'Keep your mince pies simmering' - equivalent of keep your eyes peeled.
